FAQ'S

What are eyelash extensions?

Lash extensions are synthetic fibers that we attach to each of your natural lashes. They feel like normal eyelashes but enhance your natural lashes, giving them a much fuller and longer look.

How long will a set of eyelash extensions last?

The natural growth cycle of your own eyelashes directly influences the longevity of your eyelash extensions. Your natural lash cycle is anywhere from 4-6 weeks, depending on the individual. We recommend refills every 2 to 4 weeks but this does also depend on your daily facial cleansing routine and physical activity.

What lash extensions do you use?

TBD

Are lash extensions safe?

LashOut Studio only uses professional grade adhesive which never comes in contact with your skin. Synthetic eyelashes adhere about 1mm away from your skin.

How common are adhesive reactions?

Allergic reactions to eyelash extensions are very rare and unlikely, but they do happen. A reaction typically occurs within the first 72 hours are your service and can include symptoms such as redness, swelling on the lid, and itching. If you have reacted in the past to eyelash extensions, it is very likely you will react again.

Will lash extensions damage my natural lashes?

Absolutely not. When applied correctly, with perfect isolation and weight, eyelash extensions will not harm your natural eyelashes. LashOut Studio’s artists are experienced and certified, and the most important thing for us is the integrity of your natural eyelashes. At your first appointment, we will evaluate your natural lashes to ensure you get the lash extensions that work best for you!

Can I still apply mascara?

Our eyelash extensions are designed to give your natural lashes an improved look of fullness that no longer requires mascara. You can still apply mascara but we recommend avoiding mascara that isn’t extension-safe or oil-based, as it will shorten the life of your lash extensions.

How long does it take to apply eyelash extensions?

The duration of your appointment depends on the type of lash extensions you choose. For new sets, we ask you to generally plan on 60-75 minutes, while refills can take anywhere from 30-60 minutes. During your appointment, we will remove any grown out lashes and clean them to ensure the retention and life of your lash extensions.

What is the best way to care for my lash extensions?

The first 48 hours after your eyelash extension appointment are the most important. We recommend avoiding sports or recreational activities that cause you to sweat. Do not get your lashes wet for the first 24-48 hours, which includes steam, tears, showering, swimming, and eye makeup remover. The lash adhesive requires that time to bond securely.

Do not use any waterproof and/or oil-based mascara, and when applying water-based mascara, avoid the base of your lashes. Do not use any creams, eye makeup removers, lotions, sunscreens, or cleansers containing oils on or near your eyelashes. Do not touch, play with, or pick at your lashes. Do not use a lash curler on them.

You can brush your lashes using a lash styling wand (spoolie brush) to brush your lashes daily, but avoid brushing them when they are wet.
